Our

About The  Retreat

In 2013, God laid the idea of a Women's Retreat on Monica Coy's heart.  She went to Becky Adkins with this crazy idea of organizing a weekend for ladies to glorify God, be uplifted, and just let go and have fun! In 2014 we had our first retreat "Love is Sweet" at the Plaza Conference Center in Chillicothe, OH! We had about 30 women attend and we were excited to see what God was doing.  In fact we were so excited about the success of the retreat we immediately started planning for the next year. In 2015 we returned to the Plaza Conference center with the Theme "Owl You Need is Love".   In 2016, we decided to bring the retreat to Jackson, OH, where we would have a bigger space to spread out in the LaRosas Banquet Room. Our theme for that year was "Let the Son Shine".  God laid it on our hearts that year to do a service project during the retreat. We collected hygiene supplies and asked each lady to bring supplies with her to the retreat. We were able to make 500 bags that were given to a homeless shelter in Dayton, OH.    In 2017, we returned to the Plaza Conference Center and our theme was "The Game of Life" and we continued the idea of the service project by collecting and putting together gift bags for nursing home residents. We packed  that room with ladies and knew that we would have to find a bigger room for the next year.  God opened the door for us to move to the larger Riverview Conference Center in 2018. Our theme was "Once Upon a Time" and we were honored to have members of Elizabeth Hope Pregnacy Center join us that year and to be able to host a baby shower with gifts that could be used for mothers in need.   Last year, 2019, we were blown away with what God did! We returned to the Riverview Conference Center and our theme was "Love Anchors the Soul".  We were honored to support The Heart of Nicholas by collecting items that will be used for comfort baskets for moms who lose a child. We saw God move in amazing ways from selling out seats for both days, having to add rooms at another hotel, opening financial doors,  and experiencing a mighty move of God's presence throughout the weekend.    Each year God has increased our influence and the retreat has grown.  We have partnered with several churches this year and are excited to now be known as the South Central Ohio Women's Retreat! We are excited to announce that God has opened the door for us to use the Christopher Conference Center that will seat 200 ladies in 2020! Our theme will be "Superhero Training Academy: From Ordinary to Extraordinary"  This year the service project will honor all of the little superheros at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus. We will be collecting new toys and games to help brighten the days of these children who are ill.

We hope to see you all this year!
